DAILY GIST HUB gathered that some Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Akwa Ibom State, have allegedly arrested not less than 19 students of the Akwa Ibom State University, Mkpat-Enin, for cyber crime.
According to our correspondence, The suspects were arrested on Friday at their private hostels, Obong Abasi Lodge and Mfon Obong Lodge both located at Ikot Akpadem in Mkpat-Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Some of the suspects arrested were alleged to be involved in romance scams, fraudulent cryptocurrency transactions and impersonation.
laptops and mobile phones were recovered from them.
