His voyage took an unexpected turn when he received an invitation to participate in this year’s Haj pilgrimage from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In a viral video that circulated on the internet in March, Richmond and thousands of his followers were heard chanting Shahadah (testimony of religion).
According to speculations, he has arrived in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and has began the sacred Hajj ceremonies.
He’ll next take a train back to Muzdalifah, around halfway between Arafat and Mina, where he’ll spend the night and participate in the symbolic stoning of the devil among 2.5 million other pilgrims at Jamrat Al-Aqaba.
