BET Awards: Singer Burna Boy wins ‘Best International Act’ for record fourth time

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has won the “Best International Act” award at the 2023 BET Awards held on Sunday night in Los Angeles, United States of America again for the fourth time.

The African Giant defeated French singer, Aya Nakamura, British superstars, Ella Mai, Stormzy, and Central Cee, and his fellow Nigerian colleagues Ayra Starr to win the award.With his victory, Burna Boy extended his record as the most awarded person in the BET Awards’ “Best International Act” category (4).

Our correspondence recalls that Burna Boy won the award for three consecutive years (2019, 2020 and 2021).Since the creation of the BET Awards’ “Best International Act” in 2018, the category has been exclusively won by Nigerians, with Davido being the maiden winner.Rising Nigerian music star, Tems won the “Best International Act” last year.
